Wing Chun

Wing Chun is an extremely effective close range combat system developed in China in the 17th century.

Wing Chun is a Chinese martial art that doesn’t rely on strength, allowing a weaker person to out manoeuvre stronger opponents by simple body mechanics.

Wing Chun has three open handed forms and the knowledge within these forms is used to teach you the necessary fighting skills and self-defence.

Wing Chun uses the best most efficient movements in the space between you the defender and your opponent teaching you spatial awareness and enhancing your eye-to-hand co-ordination.

Wing Chun enables you to defend yourself against larger and stronger opponents through the best use of your body structure and allows you to adapt to any situation that may arise.

Wing Chun is not a sport like some other martial arts so the efficient techniques are not removed for the sake of safety for practitioners in the sport like competitions. Whilst we ensure safety in our training and methods, we do not lose the effectiveness of Wing Chun as it is not watered down.
